Greetings from La Grave and the Skiers Lodge.
We, at the Hotel des Alpes Skiers Lodge have a unique concept whereby we not only offer our guests a cozy boutique style accommodation but also a world class guide-service which is an essential feature of La Grave skiing.
The ambition is to create a good chemistry between lodge guests and guides.
Careful thought is given to the itineraries that are chosen for each day.
The goal is to keep clients challenged by the terrain, but not terrified by the surroundings.
Most of our guests book from Saturday to Saturday with our popular standard ski week package. There are numerous options available in a standard week package, which is primarily based on guide ratio (number of guests per guide in a guided group).
In addition we also offer half board accommodation on weekly basis or long guided ski weekend breaks. For those that are interested in free riding instructions, testing skis, avalanche awareness course or other activities such as ice climbing, ski touring.

For exclusivity and higher level pace we are happy to offer this year the custom-made
“Private and Pro Options”
-the “Private” is for skiers who wish to ski with their own exclusive group.
-the “Pro” week is custom made for expert/pro skiers with less than 4 clients per guide who wish to ski at high pace and are keen to experience steeper and more exposed terrain with lower ratio (guest per guide) within the group.
The groups need to be formed in advanced by the guests who wish to book!

We normally book guests by the week with or without guiding although most of our clients ski with a guide. Nevertheless offer half board accommodation for groups or for the independent client. We also cater to guest guides with private clients for Skiing & Boarding, Ski Touring and Ice Climbing.

Independent IFMGA / UIAGM Mountian Guides & Agents
Mountain Guides holding the UIAGM/IFMGA qualification are welcome to guide their own groups. Skiers Lodge will provide full support in planning, safety and coordinating your day to ensure all had a successful day. Each day all guides will attend a morning safety briefing and fill out a risk management log detailing conditions which will be logged and assist in melt freeze zones and avalanche forecasting for the region. The lodge will offer all logistical and consultancy services provided by the IFMGA guides based at the lodge full time so as to assist in providing a top quality service to you and your guests.

K2 Women’s Movement Week
The ultimate season highlight for free riders and backcountry fans: the Women's K2 Freeride and Safety Week held in the off-piste paradise of La Grave in France.
The Women's K2 Freeride & Safety Week La Grave is a ski mountaineering and alpine awareness week designed to unite like-minded women. If you are keen to develop skills related to big-mountain skiing, clock up plenty of turns and have fun in the process this programme may well be suited to you! The week is geared towards women interested in developing greater independence and decision making skills for venturing safely into the back country.
The programme:
You will receive coaching and guiding by the experts of the Skiers Lodge La Grave. The highlights of the “adventure of La Grave” include the endless powder runs with legendary descents from the Girose glacier, with direct lines of 2300m explain why so many riders come back year after year to enjoy free-riding with one of the most spectacular mountain scenery in the Alps.
Apart from backcountry skiing, other attractions include the free testing of the K2 Freeride Collection. Our K2 Women’s Alliance ski guides will assist you with valuable tips and technical support. Last but not least, particular attention will be given to safety: apart from learning how to ski and travel safely in the mountains, our safety course includes instruction on how to use avalanche search equipment and practical training in avalanche rescue.
The camp is suitable for:
Experienced and sporty snow sports enthusiasts (skiing and telemarking ). You don’t need to be a professional freerider to take part, however. Thanks to small groups, carefully graded according to ability and our individual coaching, both off-piste novices and experts will get their money’s worth! The course will be run by Lisa Auer and is one of the few female mountain guides in France. She wishes more women would enter the industry to redress the enormous gender imbalance, not only in France, but in all guiding cultures in the world.
"The more female guides the better," she insists. "There is no physical reason women can't be mountain guides.

EAS Avalanche Course
European Avalanche School: Aims. The main objective of this course is to give the participant an in depth knowledge of snow structure, the processes of change within it, and through field experience, develop recognition of snow-pack stability and confidence in ascertaining potential avalanche risk.
